Prof Irena Cosic

Irena has published a research book and over 120 papers including book chapters, journal papers and refereed conference papers and holds one international patent. Irena has been the Chief Investigator in a number of major government grants including NIH (USA), NSF (USA), CNRS (France,) NHMRC (Australia) and ARC (Australia). In 2004 she was awarded RMIT Research Award and Vice-Chancellor Award for Excellence in Research and Leadership. Her major interests are in the area of bio-molecular electronics, influence of electromagnetic radiation on the human body and tissues and complementary medicine. She is a senior member of IEEE, Fellow of IEAust and an active member of a number of other national and international professional societies. She teaches in Bioelectromagnetism and Biomedical Engineering courses at RMIT. Prof. Cosic is a Research Director of the ACRBR.
