Forum: The Biological and Health Effects of Radiofrequency Exposures
Held at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology,
Melbourne, Australia in December 2004
The forum was hosted by
Professor Neil Furlong, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Research & Innovation and
presented by three of the Centre’s Research Directors: Professor Irena
Cosic, Head of the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering, RMIT;
Associate Professor Andrew Wood, a lecturer and researcher at Swinburne
University of Technology and Professor Michael Abramson, Deputy Head of the
Department of Epidemiology & Preventive Medicine, Monash University.
Also present were, Associate Professor
Rodney Croft (Acting Director, ACRBR; Professorial Fellow, Brain Sciences
Institute, Swinburne University of Technology) and Mr. Ray McKenzie (Manager,
EME Safety Research, Telstra Research Laboratories).
Issues discussed included: Radio waves, RF sources and RF dosimetry and RF
biological effects.
